Summer is HERE!

So inspired by my recent visit to BritMums Live...I've got the bug again so decided to go and dig out the blog...apologies it's been a while...

First up though, I loved The Morrisons cookery chats with real chefs.. so my first blog post in a while is to enter their fantastic cookery comp..because I should have shared this with everyone last summer but where does time go??

Best Summer Ice Lollies Ever - Sweet Treats!

The secret is to make them your self using a scrumptious vitamin packed smoothie.
It’s a fantastic way to use up fruit that is on the turn in the fridge and ensures your kids still have a treat but it’s packed with goodness rather than artificial rubbish.

Take the following and put in a juicer or blender

1 pineapple
a handful of green grapes
2 bananas
a handful of spinach
1 carrot
1 orange


Blend until smoothie consistency – put in lolly holders put in the freezer…wait 12 hours….perfect! However they can get messy, not that we mind that, but a bowl is usually a necessity.

If you want to be a little bit naughty…a bit of just try evaporated milk and raspberry coulis…yum yum.
